Last week's meeting proved to be a good one. It looked like the spaghetti was a solid hit, and perhaps a meal that we will try and keep permanent on the rotation. As a group last week we kind of just dedicated the future of the group to God and had a good time of worship and vision sharing. It was a real cool time, and one that got me stoked for our next meeting.
So tomorrow night, Chris will be making one of his favorite dishes, and we will be beginning our first discussion. Prepare yourselves for a chill time of catching up, good eats, coffee drinking, and deep thoughts. Our discussion will based on the following theme: who is God? It's a loaded question so get ready. Until then, we will be looking forward to seeing you guys. Peace.

Kimchi and Vision
The bold, the few, the Strong turned up on Thursday night, braving the wintery blizzard that was tearing through the fair city of Brotherly Love. Some dear brothers and sisters attempted to come, but the wintery mix prevented them from coming. We missed them dearly, and are looking forward to seeing them the next time we meet.
This past Thursday, we started of the evening by cooking and dinning on delicious Korean food, including Kimchi(hot spicy fermented cabbage). Which surprisingly enough was a hit. After dinning and getting to know each other a little, Josh and I told the story and the vision behind the group.
For those of you who where unable to attend, I will share the vision with you here and now. But sadly there are no homemade cookies on this blog like there were at group. In this group we hope to seek to know the Character of God, and know His many attributes. Often times we know what God has told us to do but we don't know the Author of life Himself. Our hope is the more we discover who God is, the more our hearts will be moved by the things that move God's heart. The more our hearts are transformed we will discover the way of life Jesus taught us, and strive to engage and be active in this city, bringing beauty and hope. We are leaning on God and asking Him for an extra dose of creativity, so we can love our neighbors.
As we go on this journey together, "I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with the fullness of God. Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever!" (eph 3:18)
We're looking forward to this Thursday. Don't forger to bring your family, friends, and enemies, there's going to be authentic spaghetti sauce, and spaghetti! until next time, Peace and Grace!

Here We Go
Tomorrow night should be pretty fresh. Between the food, coffee, and conversation it promises to be a good time. Bring an empty stomach because Korean food is on the menu. If you have never had it before, prepare to be amazed. We plan to talk story, share vision, get to know one another better, and hopefully begin to get a sense of what God may want to do through a gathering like this. Hope to see you tomorrow.
Peace,
Josh
